Surprisingly, Geno's coaching tree isn't that large..


Jen Rizzoti is happy at U Hartford, and everybody around here expects her to get the UConn job when Geno decides to retire.

Carla Berube has Tufts in the D3 championship this year, but has no interest in coaching D1.

Chris Daley has no desire to leave what she an Geno built at UConn for a head coach job elsewhere.

Shea Ralph is making something like $180K as an assistant at UConn, I don't see her jumping ship soon.

Jamelle Elliott is at Cincinnati as head coach.

Temple head coach Tonya Cardoza was a long time assistant at UConn.

There's a few others like Tamika Williams and Mel Thomas who have dabbled in coaching, but haven't made that much of a mark. Stacy Hansmeyer was an Assistant at Oklahoma for a long time, but left coaching in 2011.

Sue Bird will likely retire from the WNBA after this summer - it wouldn't surprise me to see her go into coaching.
